Our story

We met in Kota Kinabalu ten years ago. We got along easily and there was something between us from the start. But the timing was not right. We were still at the beginning of our own stories.

Life took us in different directions, but we stayed friends. Phy built The Honor Clothing, travelled and discovered more of herself along the way. Ian followed the pull to build beyond KK, working across different cities, cultures and communities. They shaped the people we would eventually become for one another.

Whenever we came home, we somehow ended up around the same people, the same tables and the same familiar conversations. Our families, friends and community kept us close, even when life was moving in different directions. The connection between us never really disappeared.

After all the cities, building and searching, home started to mean something different. On a mountain in Japan, Ian asked and Phy said yes. Home was no longer just the place we returned to. It became the life we wanted to build together, close to family, rooted in faith and surrounded by the people we love. This time, the timing was right.
